What do you do?
“I create artworks; objects in leather and suede. I work with textures and surfaces, and I really like when artworks and decorations are three-dimensional and take up space in a room, because that encourages more interaction. I like when objects seem simple but reveal complexity when studied in depth. And leather is amazing for this because it’s natural, raw and so refined. I sell my works to corporate and private clients through my own webshop, Atelier Nué, and through vendors in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Stockholm.”
.
What would you like to do?
“After spending 15 years working behind a computer as a graphic designer – creating flat things, I needed to do more physical work. Hands on fabrics and experimenting with materials. It is important for me to have something in my life that is calming, and I have found that working with leather provides just the zen that I need. And I hope that my works can benefit people as a calming element. I wish to create a unique Atelier Nué-universe with large scale interior decorations, unique objects and fashion. I thoroughly enjoy creating something people can use; objects that become part of lives and provide something different – associations, perspective and something aesthetically pleasing to be around and look at.”
.
What are you into?
“I’m into materials and textures and creating and crafting stuff. I have always been sewing my own clothes; working with fabrics and creating stuff with my hands. So what I do now I feel is much more in tune with my values and the things I love.”
