She is a graphic designer working from the co-working space at LYNfabrikken.
What do you do?
“I do layout and graphic design for very different clients. I mostly work with the same clients for a longer period – much like an in-house designer. Doing both digital projects and print media like books, brochures and banners. One of my specialties is to get everything to match an existing visual identity. I trained as a lithographer and worked at a print shop for many years so I have a basic understanding of my work as a craft. I have the craftsman's eye for colour and when I see a shade of red I can tell the CMYK value quite accurately.”
What would you like to do?
“To be able to keep making a living from something I consider a hobby would be amazing and I would not trade it for anything. That said, I would love to collaborate more with other creative people and agencies. I have found that I really thrive and grow as a graphic designer when I collaborate with creative people with visions and ideas. I find that when people I work with are facing a creative challenge I’m good at finding a solution to make everything click.”
What are you into?
“I’m into making things fit together. Whether it’s fashion or graphic design. If I need a certain dress for a specific occasion or a photo shoot I make the dress. If I need a certain piece of furniture, and I can’t buy it anywhere, I design it myself. It’s not so much about making the products. But creating the perfect fit for the situation is very important to me.”
