Join in for an afternoon packed with insights from the Danish mobile gaming industry with LEGO® and FUNDAY FACTORY.

------ LEGO® Builder’s Journey ------

Builder’s Journey is the first release from the internal development studio: Light Brick. It’s a poetic puzzle experience that takes place in a LEGO brick world, with a touching narrative about the importance of play.

Speakers:
Karsten Lund, Creative director and head of Light Brick Studios, a game industry veteran with more that 25 years of experience and a past in Io Interactive, Square Enix Montreal and LEGO System A/S

Mikkel Fredborg, Tech-artist and technology lead at Light Brick. Mikkel has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, with titles such as: Youropa, Kalimba, Max: Curse of Brotherhood.

------ Funday Factory Bullet League ------

The art of making 32 players on a small screen stand out!

The two Funday Factory artists Blake Overgaard and Tommy Højberg, will take us through the art direction and art production of the game Bullet League. First Blake will talk about the overall art direction and visual style of the game. Then we will dive deep and Tommy will showcase how explosions, effects and animations are setup in Unity for an effective and awesome production flow.

Speakers:
Blake Overgaard, Art director at Funday Factory, huge fan of Magic The Gathering, enjoys Arthur C. Clarke and hard science fiction reads.

Tommy Højberg Petersen, Artist at Funday Factory, loves rock solid gameplay, beautiful art and catchy music in games.

------ BIG EXPERIENCES FOR SMALL SCREENS ------

Big Experiences for Small Screens (BESS) are after work industry meet-ups with special attention to games, interactive stories and experiences for mobile phones and tablets. BESS gather inspirational international industry innovators who are passionate about high production quality for small money, new business models, adaptation from large to small screen formats, new digital technology and of course graphic / aesthetic production using games engine technology. BESS is organized by Interactive Denmark, Vision Denmark and gaming company Funday Factory from Aarhus in cooperation with The Animation Workshop, VIA University College.
